All these "lockouts" and "strikes" turn me off towards the sports. I can see myself looking at the NHL around the playoffs, but not until then.

The lockout *really* ticked me off. But with the intensity of the shortened season, my interest has risen. I wish they had been able to go through the realignment proposed last year. Still, all the inter-conference games kinda compensate for that. Every game is against a potential playoff-position foe. Good stuff so far.

A good start. Then again, the Sharks have a great tradition of doing very well during the regular season and imploding in the playoffs. I'll be impressed when they show resiliency in the second season.

True. I love the Sharks, but I always dread the playoffs. :p

On the other hand, the Sharks have a hell of a coach now in Todd McLellan. Things might get different now.

Well... considering that the "regular season" is half as long as normal, they might actually stand a snowballs chance in hell. :p

And now that all the lock-out players are gone, it's quite funny how some of the teams with the biggest wallets (in Switzerland) are crashing pathetically.

And another Sharks win; this time against Edmonton... by shoot-out in overtime. Our perfect record continues, 7-0

7-0 is always impressive. In the shortened season, it's all the more significant.

Yeah, but we suck again. We've lost EVERY game since setting that record. We might not even make playoffs. :p

'Twas a great series. Good to see the Cali teams (sans Anaheim) playing solid hockey and putting on such a good show!

Let's see if the midwest teams are as entertaining tonight! ;)
