I expected the run with the Cartoon Network to end after Disney bought Star Wars, but to have it completely wiped out before airing all of its episodes wasn't expected as I don't think that will be completely the case. But then again people in cooperate politics are very capable of make dumb decisions so I can't expect anything from this point.

That was quite interesting. I still wouldn't be surprised to see it shunted to Disney XD but it did sound like it might be released via a different medium.

Thing is... the way Season 5 ended leaves it completely open-ended to re-introduce Ahsoka Tano in Episode VII... but yeah, I'm pretty sure Disney just canceled it to re-package it for Disney XD.

This is one of those things I'm iffy about. Such as Darth Maul's reappearance. To me it was always pretty obvious that Sidious or a minion ordered the clones in Sifo Dyas' name...so when the Clone Wars turns that around I'm always a bit hesitant. I admit I was able to get over Darth Maul's survival though after a few episodes...

So ...belatedly ... I have finally gotten around to finishing Season 3 and all of Season 4. My plan is to finish Season 5 before the week is out. I though S4 began pretty unevenly with the water-planet arc (it just seemed like "more of the same" Clone Wars battles). But the rest? Damn. Umbara. The Slave arc. Obi-Wan's jaunt with Bane. And the Ventress-Maul arc. All very strong. Not without their flaws. But the more I see of the late seasons, the more disappointed I am that the show didn't get to go out on its own terms.

BIG NEWS!!!

The Clone Wars are coming to Netflix on March 7:

http://starwars.com/news/star-wars-the- ... rch-7.html

Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Final Season, "The Lost Missions," to Hit Netflix on March 7

February 13, 2014

Exclusive Licensing Agreement with The Disney/ABC Television Group Brings Star Wars Content to Netflix Streaming Members for the First Time

The Galactic Republic, Disney/ABC Television Group, Lucasfilm, and Netflix Inc. today announced the highly anticipated debut of the sixth and final season of the Emmy(r) Award-winning series Star Wars: The Clone Wars exclusively to Netflix members in the US and Canada on Friday, March 7. Accompanying the 13-episode new season dubbed "The Lost Missions" will be the entire Star Wars: The Clone Wars saga, which includes several director's cut episodes never seen on TV as well as the feature film. This multi-year agreement also makes Netflix the exclusive subscription service for the entire Star Wars: The Clone Wars series.

In these eagerly anticipated episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, some of the deepest mysteries of the conflict between the light and the dark sides of the Force are revealed. An intrepid clone trooper discovers a shocking secret, Anakin Skywalker's closest relationship is tested to its limits, and what Master Yoda discovers while investigating the disappearance of a Jedi could forever change the balance of power in the galaxy. Fans will not only be able to watch the thrilling finale, they'll be able to see more of Star Wars: The Clone Wars than ever before as Netflix will also stream the director's cut of seasons one to five.

"Star Wars is one of the most iconic franchises of all time and this series joins a long line of Disney content that Netflix members are and will continue to enjoy for years to come," said Ted Sarandos, Netflix chief content officer. "The Clone Wars marks an important moment as Netflix welcomes more and more first-run content from The Walt Disney Company and its subsidiaries."

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is the first time any Star Wars content has been available for Netflix streaming members. The deal follows a recent announcement from Netflix and The Walt Disney Company to bring multiple original series based on Marvel characters to the service in 2015. Netflix will be the exclusive US subscription television service for first-run, live-action, and animated movies from the Walt Disney Studios including titles from Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Disneynature, and Lucasfilm beginning in 2016. Netflix members can currently enjoy a wide range of Disney, ABC Entertainment Group and Disney Channel films and TV shows across the 41 countries where Netflix operates.

And we will see Liam Neeson back as Qui-Gon to explain to Yoda how to truly become one with the Force:

FYI: I've been waiting about a week to finally post this! I hope it was worth the wait! :D

My god ... what this series would have become had it not been canceled early ...

Is it March 7, yet?

Of note, of course, is the thread where Qui-Gon teaches Yoda about The Living Force. And the machinations behind Syfo-Dias and Order 66.

But then we have another Obi-Wan and Anakin v. Dooku duel ... and a Yoda v. Sidious duel?

Damn!

Oh. My.

These thirteen episodes were ... utterly amazing. The Order 66 arc was exceptional. The Padme arc was noteworthy for how well it portrayed Anakin's paranoid insecurity where Padme is concerned. The Jar-Jar episodes were surprisingly spiritual (and well-written). And the final Yoda arc ... unfrigginbelievable. This season really helps underscore the character and thematic elements that lead directly into RotS. Brilliant work, marred only by the fact that the series ended before it was through telling incredible stories.

I watched the Order 66 Arc and agree that that one was really well done. Hopefully I can squeeze in the other arcs soon!

AND hopefully Rebels will be as good...

My favorite arcs were the Yoda and Order 66 arcs.

It's kind of funny, if they only released it one episode at a time, like a normal season, I feel like I'd have a lot more to say each week. But I watched all of it in two sittings over a day and a half, and um...

Well, I loved the Order 66 trilogy. It's like the kids say on tumblr these days.. "the feels" haha. Says a lot for the writing and direction of a show to make you care that much about a guy with the same face as hundreds of thousands of others.

And to see that the Jedi come so close to the truth of what is to come... yet from watching ROTS we know they are not going to escape.

The Yoda arc was beautifully done. I was wondering if the 'Force priestesses' were supposed to be the shamans of the Whills, but because they never said the "W" word there, we're still stuck not knowing what the crap the Whills are. That said, it was great seeing how Yoda was 'placed by the Force' as it were to raise the Skywalker(s) to come to reboot the Jedi Order.
