Star Wars: The NEXT animated series

As we enter into an exciting new era focused on the next Star Wars trilogy, Lucasfilm has decided to pursue a new direction in animated programming. We are exploring a whole new Star Wars series set in a time period previously untouched in Star Wars films or television programming. You can expect more details in the months to come.

From starwars.comÄ—
Any thoughts? Untouched in film/television means we have a few options:

a. Pre Episode I as in KOTOR era, etc.
b. Between III & IV
c. Post VI

All three have possibilities....

Pre EP I is the least likely imo.

Post VI is not very likely unless they decide to use the cartoon series to bridge the gap between VI & VII, assuming VII is 20 years or whatever later....

Between III & IV would work well as they would have a lot of freedom to work.

An Old Republic/KotOR series would be awesome, but I don't expect to see that for years. I'd wager on an Early Imperial Era setting (between III and IV), or perhaps a series bridging VI and VII following the continuing adventures of Luke Skywalker in Clone-Wars style.
