Can it really be Star Wars without Vader & The Sith?

Can it really be Star Wars without Vader & The Sith?

Postby Manowan » Thu Nov 21, 2013 4:40 pm

So much of what we have come to know as Star Wars and the development of our favorite characters had to do with their relation and opposition to the Sith and Darth Vader. Now they are gone.

Luke was defined by Vader. Vader was Luke's mirror flip side and now he's gone. What are Luke, Han and Leia with no Evil Empire to fight?

Thoughts?

The Sith will be back, or at least someone trying to be a Sith. Star Wars is based on dark versus light. There is no way this next movie won't have a red lightsaber in it.

Agreed. I really do think they'll go the Jacen/Jaina route in that a child of one of the OT generation will fall and another of the child will have to redeem him/her....

They don't need to be Sith to be bad news.

Perhaps another Force-using organization with dark-side leanings, such as maybe the Nightsisters could fill the void. Give 'em a Holocron created by Darth Plagueis and let them run wild, with no rule of Two to bind them, they could create all sorts of chaos.

Oh I agree they don't need it...but I doubt highly they see it that way. Especially for VII-IX. They seem to want to go as traditional as possible so that means Jedi vs. Sith

The Nightsisters would be awesome for a spinoff
