No Wedge in Episode VII

No Wedge in Episode VII

Postby tarkin713 » Tue May 13, 2014 10:19 am reports that Denis Lawson is not going to reprise his role as Wedge. According to the article, he was asked by JJ to come back, and he TURNED IT DOWN, reportedly stating it would've "bored" him.

So, no Wedge, which is a shame, 'cause I was kinda looking forward to seeing him again.

But here's the effed-up part: JJ offered a part to Denis Lawson but not to Billy Dee? That seems a little strange...

I know the ultimate goal with these Sequel movies is that they want to pass the torch so to speak in a manner which allows them to introduce new main characters. I always thought to myself if they were smart they would dig up as many OT actors/characters as was possible.

Doesn't have to be a lot of screen time devoted to each character, but in my opinion the firsts movie needs to give most of the screen time to OT characters.
