One of my two favorite shows. Why does Sean Bean always have to die? :p

Oh Peter Dinklage as Tyrion is superb! Have you read the books? Tyrion is my favorite character there as well followed closely by Littlefinger (Played EVER so well in the series) and as time goes on Jamie Lannister.

As I've said elsewhere, I've met Peter Dinklage. Very nice guy. I just might try this series again - if only to be able to participate in the discussions. :))

Watched the first season. Loved it. Then read all the books before the second season came out. Hated the second season. Very iffy on the show (but will still watch everything).

In terms of fidelity of potrayal, can't beat Varys. Almost exactly like how I imagined him.

I loved the show and watched it before I read the books. Having now read all the books, I have some complaints. But it's still good stuff.

The first season was definitely better than the second...but then again I liked the first and third books much better than the second anyways...

You know, I had to explicitly forbid myself from reading or watching anything as I was finishing THE DARKNESS. Kinda weird going a whole month-and-a-half with nothing but your own story kicking around your head.

Maybe that's my problem now. :))

Went out and bought all the books.

Loved book one. Took forever to read through book two. Devoured 3, 4 and am working on 5 now.

watched season two.

I haven't read the books but does each season equal a book? If that is so I will have to start reading them for sure to see what didn't make it into the show.

So far although I believe Book 3 might be going to be two seasons but don't quote me on that...

Completely agree with this.

Although I had read the books before season 1, too ... and merely disliked it rather than hate it, like season 2;

Haven't touched the show. Never really cared to (I have no free time to watch TV). That being said, book four was probably my favorite before book five came out. I'm torn between the two now. I don't want to get into spoilers though. :3

I recently became addicted to the show, and am now listening to the audiobooks to and from work. (Still only half way through the first book). I can't remember the last time I was this engrossed in a fictional universe.

I have to say that the Daenerys vengeance outcomes are incredibly satisfying - from her brother's golden crown, to the screams of priestess attending the birth of the dragons, to the valuable lesson learned from the richest man, and now her Unsullied army.

Now to find my own dire wolf...
