Yes, now I'm certain we have all collided with some other parallel universe over the last couple months. First Star Wars, now ... what?

WHAT?

Yeah I saw this earlier...what a strange surreal sight that will be. I can just imagine Macca screaming Rape Me.

So what's next, Alice in Chains with Robert Plant?

This pairing might work...

Tonight's pairing has me thinking I need to tune into to watch... not sure what to think of it however but it;s like both ends of my musical tastes have just smacked together... kinda like a peanut butter cup you know.

I'm not saying Alice in Chains with Robert Plant would be a bad thing (I kind of like the idea too)--and I'm really curious as to how this is going to turn out... it could actually be good.

Little Richard with Black Sabbath however--I dunno about that. :p

As both a huge Beatle and Nirvana fan, this will thrill me and freak me out at the same time.

But after the hologram Tupac performance with Snoop, I can handle anything.

Is nothing sacred?

Then again, VH released Tattoo ... so I guess I have my answer. :p

How about Barry Manilow fronting Thin Lizzy? *shudder*

From what I gather, Sir Paul joined with the surviving members of Nirvana to record and perform one original song. Doesn't look like an actual reunion or even long term thing involving performance of Nirvana material.
And so it goes.

Yeah, that's how it seems to have panned out. I was hoping the ex-Nirvana with him at the head would be his new touring/recording band. It's too bad, I actually liked that song. PMC actually does that style of rock well, to my surprise. I probably shouldn't be all that surprised, his musical prowess is widely eclectic.

Some bands do well for themselves in the re-invention, but usually with a new name. Joy Division to New Order comes to mind.. or perhaps even Nirvana to Foo Fighters.

Maybe I'm just not the right age, but this does nothing for me. I loved Nirvana as a kid, but listening to them now makes me wish they would stay in the 90s.

I'm sure there are fans of the Rolling Stones who said the exact same thing about them...in the 80's.
I never underestimate their chances.
