Always love a good Die Hard flick. I definitely want to see this.

Too bad there's no theater in my town, and I refuse to watch crappy cams.

I definitely will go see this...or at least get it on demand a few months later ;) I just did a Die Hard Marathon over Christmas time and loved each one...even the more maligned 4th one. It was still Die Hard to me :P

I never did get around to seeing #4. Still, I'm intrigued. And will probably watch that one, and this one, at some point.

Kevin Smith was a great supporting role in 4! Funny as hell...

Saw this over the weekend.

Not bad. It's definitely not of the same formula of the previous die hard movies. That is, the plot doesn't center around some terrorist trying to take over something. It's more about McClane being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The father/son dynamic worked really well I think. There were a couple of lame moments in the movie where they overdid it, but overall I liked that there was that connection between them.

And I won't spoil the final scene, but I will see that I thought the last sequence was AWESOME. Very touching methinks.

Movie seems to be getting horrible reviews, and I don't really understand why besides the fact that they are probably comparing it to its predecessors (which I think is a tad unfair thing to do to any sequel). It works well as a stand alone movie, and I think if it wasn't labeled as a die hard sequel, it would be considered an overall solid movie.
