Cosmos - with Neil deGrasse Tyson

Postby Emperor's Prize » Thu Jul 25, 2013 12:07 am

It's time to get going again ... in 2014 ...

I'm a HUGE fan of the original Cosmos with Carl Sagan and am beyond thrilled to see the new version finally approaching an air date. Having seen a number of videos featuring Neil deGrasse Tyson, I've become a fan of his and think he'll do a fine job continuing the "uplifting themes that called people to action" that Sagan conveyed in the original. It's been a long time since I've been this excited or passionate about .. anything ... much less a new show - not even The Hobbit can compare.
If you ever have the chance for redemption, take it. Without hesitation.

Like you, I am really looking forward to this. :) You think it will, like the original TV show follow the book by Sagan? I still have my beat up old copy of the Sagan book on my shelf. :D

Show Tyson vids to my physics students once. Asked them to write down three things they thought were cool about the video. Half the class put that Isaac Newtown died a virgin. Techicalky he said that I guess. Lol
